Miguel Angel Garcia Laparra, better known as Maikel, is a Spanish comic artist and editor. He was a bank employee before turning to the comics profession in the 1980s. He made his first comics for El Papus, and subsequently was an artist for children's magazines by Ediciones B like Súper López, Mortadelo and Super Zipi y Zape. His best known work from is era is the series 'Los Especialistas' that ran in Mortadelo and was collected in a book in 1988.
