Peyo (pseudonym of Pierre Culliford), born in Schaerbeek (Belgium), is a French-speaking Belgian comic strip writer, best known for the series Benoît Brisefer, Jacky et Célestin, Johan et Pirlouit, Poussy and above all Les Schtroumpfs.
