About Charles Degotte
Charles Degotte was a Belgian comics and lay-out artist who had a long career at Spirou magazine. He's best known as the creator of the 'Flagada' bird (1961-1993), around whom he created cartoons and comics. Another long-running series of his hand was the gag comic 'Les Motards' (1984-1993). Degotte was furthermore active as a children's book writer, illustrator and TV animator. Sadly his career ended early when he committed suicide.
