However not well-known, Robert Bressy's oeuvre is large, mainly for his work for the daily press. After studying fine arts in Marseille, Bressy turned to animation. From 1949, he was active as a comics artist for the daily press. He started out with 'Le Capitaine Fracasse' and 'Les Pardaillan' for the Paris-Graphic agency. While still working for this agency, he started a longtime cooperation with Opera Mundi in 1952.
