Ibicus - original comic art

Ibicus is a 4-volume French comic strip by Pascal Rabaté, based on the novel by Alexis Tolstoy, published by Vents d'Ouest between 1998 and 2001.
Simeon Nevzorof, a small accountant with an unremarkable life, has had his future foretold by a gypsy woman who tells him that when the world descends into war, he will become immensely rich. From then on, all he waited for was the violence that came with the Russian Revolution, which would give him power and fortune.
