Laurent Parcelier was a French comic book artist, who was active in the 1980s and 1990s. During this period he has created a nice and poetic oeuvre, in a style close to Jacques Laudy's. He studied Fine Arts in Paris from 1978 to 1980, and he subsequently made his comics debut in the magazine Triolo. He contributed several short stories, which he made on his own or with scenarist Didier Convard. In 1985 he joined the editorial team of Amis-Coop.
Three years later, Parcelier created his first series for Casterman, 'La Malédiction des 7 Boules Vertes', that was published between 1988 and 1993. In 1995 and 1996 he created two books of the fantasy series 'Giulio et le Drôle de Monde'. He has devoted all of his time to painting since 1996, and has exhibited his work throughout France and the USA.
