Commentaire

Maybe not the most spectacular page Don Lawrence ever produced, but I really like this episode, containing all the ingredients one likes from “The Trigan Empire”; hubris, betrayal, combat and revenge.

It contains a classic storyline where an emperor dressed as a beggar leaves his castle to find out what his subservients really think. And we find out Trigo is an excellent vocalist.
Villian Akkan provides some sarcastic humor, adressing Janno again and again as “my fine young friend/sprig”.

What do you think about the “pink carrier pigeon” (trans-bird), playing a key part in the showdown of the story?
I also like the blue logo starting this page, it comes from the “Look and Learn” magazine publication. It captures the full page width and the use of capitals well chosen.
