About Mike Dringenberg

Mike Dringenberg was born in Laon, France, and lives and works in Bountiful, Utah. He did his frist comic work in the second half of the 1980s for independent publishers like Eclipse and Vortex, drawing among others 'Enchanter', 'Alien Worlds', 'Total Eclipse' and 'Kelvin Mace'. Dringenberg is probably best known for his work on the DC/Vertigo series 'The Sandman' with Neil Gaiman, initially inking Sam Kieth's pencils, buter later also doing pencils. He is the graphical creator of the characters Death and Desire, and his work appears in the collections 'Preludes and Nocturnes', 'The Doll's House' and 'Season of Mists'. He also did art on the DC series 'Doom Patrol' with scripts by Grant Morisson, and on the fantasy card game, 'Magic: The Gathering'. In more recent years, Dringenberg has been designing CD covers, as well as Tolkien books. Text (c) Lambiek
