I have a confession to make. I have never read Sandman...

I tried a decade or so ago when those giant absolute collected editions came out and they are all on my shelf. I read the first few books in the first volume and put the tome down and never picked it up again. Not because I disliked it but wasn't compelled by it to continue and then things get away from you. I have also never owned any published Sandman art for this reason...let the crazies have it!!

Having decided to binge the Netflix show on a flight to Japan a few months ago, I am now a budding fan. Not of the comics yet but I liked what I saw. I am now inspired to try the comics again. I am hoping not to turn into one of the crazies as I know enough of them and where enough Sandman art is that is never seeing the light of day that the futility of this pathway is clear.

Here is a page by Mike Dringenberg from one of the episodes from the Netflix show. Since I have context to the stories now, I liked this page and I have always been a fan of Mike's art. So, here it is, a Sandman page with no Sandman from a story with almost no Sandman in it at all. I must be doing something wrong!
