About Philippe Ogaki

Philippe Ogaki is a French artist of mainly science fiction comics. Originally from Agen, he graduated in Interior Design from the École Boulle in Paris. He then went to work in the animation industry as a designer and storyboard artist for several short and medium-length productions, such as Sébastien Mazière's La Statue et l'Enfant' (1999) and Bruno François-Boucher's 'Grain de folie' (2000). He later worked on animated TV series and on feature films, such as Luc Besson's 'Arthur et les Minimoys' ('Arthur and the Invisibles', 2006). His first comics project was an adaptation of Pierre Bordage's space opera trilogy 'Les Guerriers du Silence', which was written by Algésiras and published in Delcourt's Neopolis collection between 2005 and 2008. He then made three books of the science-fiction series 'Meteors' with writer Fred Duval in that same collection from 2008 to 2010. He made his debut as an allround author with the children's fantasy series 'Azur', of which Delcourt published four books between 2011 and 2013. It was followed by Ogaki's second solo-series, 'Terra Prime' (since 2015), an allegory about the deviances of humanity through a group of space settlers. Philippe Ogaki is also the colorist of the series 'La Rose Écarlate' by Patricia Lyfoung (Delcourt, since 2006).
