About Eric Lenaerts

Eric Lenaerts studied art and took courses in comics at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels. After his military service, he met the scenarist Pascal Renard with whom he made his first comics. After two short stories for Jet and Hello Bédé, they created the thriller 'Sur des Eaux Troubles', their first album that was published by Lombard in 1995. Afterwards, they began the saga 'Valcourt', which ran for two episodes until Renard's death. Lenaerts then focused on illustration for a while, until he began the heroic-fantasy series 'Les Royaumes de Borée' with Dominique Latil for Soleil. He also teamed up with writer André-Paul Duchâteau to create the historical series 'Les Romantiques' at Casterman between 2001 and 2003. In 2004, he began 'Le Fugitive' in cooperation with André Taymans, another thriller, published by Casterman. Also for Casterman, he was present in the collection "Jacques Martin" with 'Les Vikings' (2006) and 'Cléopâtre' (2008). He teamed up with his former assistant Gihef to create 'Mister Hollywood' for Dupuis. Text (c) Lambiek
