Description
Tanino Liberatore is an Italian cartoonist, illustrator and painter. Nicknamed by Frank Zappa (for whom he created the historic cover of the album ‘The Man from Utopia’) the ‘Michelangelo of comics’, over the course of his career he has enjoyed great success in Italy and abroad and won major awards.
This splendid large canvas was published as the first splash page in the French collection ‘Les Femmes de Liberatore’ (Glénat, 2011), a new expanded edition of the volume of the same name published in 1997 by Albin Michel. It was later used as the cover of the American volume ‘Le Donne’ (NBM Publishing, 2012), which includes the same drawings published in the French edition.
