In the early 1970s, Carl Barks was talked out of his retirement and scripted a series of Junior Woodchuck stories. He made rather detailed sketches of all of them, and most of these original pencilled pages have survived. The stories were inked by Kay Wright and Tony Strobl. In recent times, Daan Jippes has re-inked all of them. Here is Barks´ first page for the Be Leery of Lake Eerie story published in 1972. Compare Jippes´ inked version.
