Absolutely stunning painted Valérian & Laureline cover, for the 1976 edition (and used henceforth all around the world) of the first book "La Cité des eaux mouvantes"/"The City of Shifting Waters" (prepublished in 1968 in the french periodical Pilote and finally as a book in 1970), by the great late Jean-Claude Mézières. Valérian & Laureline is probably my favorite science fiction series and one that I read as an adolescent, so adding this amazing cover (37,5cm x 49cm) to my collection really means a lot to me!
