La taille des deux héros peints à la main sur celluloïd est respectivement de 14 x 14 cm et de 10 x 10 cm. On peut voir Clochard jouant les héros à environ 28 minutes et 54 secondes du début du film et Lady libérée de sa muselière par un castor à 32 minutes et 44 secondes du début du film. La qualité de rendu du fond est exceptionnelle, ce qui fait de ce "background" une véritable oeuvre d'art. "La Belle et le Clochard" est produit la même année qu'est créé Disneyland. C'est le tout premier dessin anime long métrage réalisé en cinémascope. Succès commercial pour les Studios Disney, l'American Film Institue l'a classé 95ème parmi les 100 meilleures "Love stories" de tous les temps.

Here is a dramatic setup of a hand-inked, hand-painted production cels featuring Tramp, Lady and a pack of wild dogs over an original hand-painted background from this beloved Disney feature film. Tramp playing the hero measures approximately 5.5" x 7" on a cel trimmed to 6" x 8" and he can be seen about the 28:54 mark as he defends Lady. The full-figure image of Lady measures 4" x 4" and appears at the 32:44 mark when Tramp arranges to have a beaver remove her muzzle. Her cel has been trimmed to the image and applied to clear acetate that has been cut to match the contour of the building behind her. Both cels are over an original one-of-a-kind preliminary pan production background attributed to legendary Disney artist Claude Coats (1913 - 1992). This background can be seen around the 7:20 mark just after Lady chases the rat out of her yard. The quality of Disney backgrounds like this makes them true works of art unto themselves. An instant classic, Lady and the Tramp was named number 95 out of the "100 Greatest Love Stories of All Time" by the American Film Institute. The piece is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 11" x 21" in a frame measuring 21" x 33.5". Condition is Fine.
