“Dead of a Pirate Queen” The Phantom

While The Phantom and Kit go on a camping trip in the jungle, Heloise is sick and stays in the Skull Cave where Diana reads the final chapter in Kate Somerset's diary.
Kate, the former pirate queen, has become abbess of the monastery on Convent Island. The nuns regularly light beacons to warn ships of the dangerous cliffs around the island. The pirate Blackheart and his men arrive on the island and Kate promises to not light the beacons in exchange for hers and the nuns' lives. When a ship is wrecked on the cliffs there is only one survivor, The 18th Phantom suffering from amnesia. After being nursed back to health, The Phantom helps the nuns to get rid of Blackheart. Some months later when Kate is visiting London, the Singh pirates return and kidnap Kate's best friend, the nun Simone.
