"it's almost criminal how easy David makes it to write a script. He makes a three-Dimensional stage of the individual panel, complete in authentic detail, nonetheless uncluttered und utterly readable. He creates actors whose dramatic range is startling, whose best and most compelling moments are wordless."
Frank Miller

About David Mazzucchelli

David Mazzucchelli is an American comic book artist. He drew the Born Again story arc, which completely transformed the character of Daredevil. He then followed Miller to DC Comics, where together they rewrote the origins of Batman in the story Batman: Year One. His sober drawing got him noticed immediately, but he quickly distanced himself from the comic book industry.
