The prickly Porcupine ! With his gas mask, he was more like a silly skunk !
Posted on: 4/27/24, 10:53 PMSome people criticise the inker Colletta for erasing figures and erasing details, but he sems to have inked every brick in this one !
Posted on: 4/27/24, 10:49 PMThe Marvel letter's-page inside-joke that Ditko could not draw feet correctly, is illustrated here by Ditko himself, as a humorous joke, with Ditko poking fun at himself. Hence the foot and hole-in-sock in gallery. Ditko's mind crosses from the printed page, to reader's mind, connecting with young readers, with this humorous and humble self satire. Bravo!
Posted on: 4/27/24, 10:42 PMI have mixed emotions, about a Spider-man page, from the peak period, in large splash format.......full of salt water!?! Sheesh.
Posted on: 4/27/24, 10:33 PM3 years before Spider-man existed ! This was Ditko at his youthful genius!
Posted on: 4/27/24, 10:26 PMA page that likely belongs more with issue #37, than #36. It certainly introduces things to come in the next issue.

Posted on: 4/26/24, 2:14 PMPo-boy would need to trade to get it. LOL. This page reminds me of Star Wars light sabres, and you know Chuck Norris would just kick him!
Posted on: 4/23/24, 1:02 AMSpider-man will be remembered in 1,000 years!
Posted on: 4/20/24, 6:40 PMYoung Heck started as a romance artist, so he had it in him. And Marvel also printed girlie magazines. # There is a lot to love.

This page almost predates Amazing Fantasy #15 Spiderman, and was Stan Lee's attempt to think of a superhero. Hulk, was hardly a hit either. Somehow, Land of the Giants was a limited concept doomed to failure. Very historic !
