Mario Sénéchal is a French comic artist, who is also known as Shovel Tattoos, or simply Shovel. He was born in Amiens and attended the regional School of Fine Arts. He studied interior design in Lille and comic art in Angoulême. He lives and works on the isle of La Réunion since the mid 1990s.
