Caza is a shrewd explorer of modern Western life, scrutinising its twists and turns. Through short stories, "Scènes de la vie de banlieue" (Scenes of suburban life) denounces with accuracy and humour the absurdity of the inhabitants of concrete and low-rise buildings. We meet freebooters at the helm of their suburban bungalow carrying the black banner of revolt, nymphets on the verge of suicide saved in extremis by love salesmen and sad-looking rednecks looking for a way out. All in vain.
