Sambre - original comic art

Sambre is a historical drama comic book series created by Yslaire and Balac in 1986. They produced the first two volumes together but, following differences between them, Balac abandoned the project and Yslaire became the scriptwriter for the rest of the series.
Sambre tells the story of a bourgeois rural family in the 19th century, and more particularly that of Bernard Sambre, who is in love with Julie, a young red-eyed vagabond whom his family hates.
