Roberto Perini was co-founder and part of the editorial team of the satirical magazines Il Male, Il Clandestino and Boxer. He has also contributed to Zut, Tango, and Cuore, as well as L'Unita, La Repubblica, L'Espresso and Alter. In 1986, he founded the anti-futurist movement Frou-Frou, against the speed of modern life. He has lived in Cuba for several years, and upon his return in Italy, he left comics in favor of painting.
