Born in Milan, Renzo Savi started his career in 1948 helping his brother Carlo Savi (Ivas) with 'Morgan il Corsaro' (a comic created by Dalmasso & Tacconi) and Magni (Ingam) with 'Pantera Bionda', both series for publisher Arc by Pasquale Giurleo. From 1956 to 1962 he inked his brother's pencils on stories for Casa Editrice Universo (Albi dell'Intrepido, Il Monello).
