Jon Carling is a California-based illustrator known for his intricate black-and-white ink drawings inspired by myth, nature, and dream logic. He illustrated the 2018 Italian edition of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi (Incontridice), with exhibitions in Reggio Emilia, Ferrara, and Parma, and a featured presentation in Sassuolo. His artwork is also featured in the upcoming edition of Ray Bradbury’s Switch On the Night.
Carling has created album art, posters, and animated videos for The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Breeders, and The Dandy Warhols. He’s a longtime collaborator with Old Blood Noise Endeavors, designing pedals like Dark Star and Sunlight.
His work blends classical draftsmanship with a personal iconography, resulting in a distinctive visual language that resonates across fine art, publishing, and music.
