Michael Turner was an American comic book artist from Crossville, Tennessee. His talent was discovered by Marc Silvestri at a comic convention. Silvestri hired him to work at Top Cow Productions, where he initially did background illustrations and eventually co-created the successful 'Witchblade' title. In 1998, he launched the creator-owned 'Fathom' title. Turner departed Top Cow in late 2002 to found his own comic book publishing company, Aspen MLT Inc.
