Born in Perpignan, Jean-Marie Minguez developed an early interest in comics during his childhood. He made his first comics with the amateur comics group Sugar Comga in the 1990s. He later joined Comic Box, where he worked as a colorist on 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and 'Woody Woodpecker' stories drawn by Stéphane Louis. He teamed up with writer Jean-Luc Istin to create the fairytale series 'Le Grimoire de Féérie', of which two books were published by Soleil Productions in 2004 and 2006. He continued with some lettering and coloring jobs, before starting his next series with Nicolas Pona. 'Carabosse' is published by Lombard since 2011.
