James O'Barr is a self-taught comic artist. After someone very close to him was killed by a drunken driver, he joined the Marines, where he started writing and drawing the comic series 'The Crow'. This story of death, love and revenge was first published by Caliber, and later picked up by Tundra Publishing. In 1992, a movie was released, starring Brandon Lee.
