Giovanni Scolari started his career illustrating children's novels and doing advertising illustrations. In the 1930s, Scolari made his debut in the comic field by working for the publisher Mondadori. There, he created the science fiction saga 'Saturno contro la Terra', on a scenario by Federico Pedrocchi.
