Jorge Ginès Soteras, better known simply as Gin, began his career in 1954. He started by drawing series like 'Mary-Paz', 'Susi' and 'Miguelin y su perro Tizón' for the magazines Florita and Yumbo. From 1957 onwards he cooperated on magazines like DDT, Pulgarcito, La Risa, Tío Vivo and Can Can. In the early 1960s he started to focus more on illustration. He has illustrated for Lui and Playboy, and he was one of the main artists of L'Infantil. In 1966 Gin began an association with the Macian studios, where he worked in cartoon animation.
