Eugenio Sicomoro was born in Rome as Bruno Brunetti. He published his first stories in the magazine Lanciostory of Eura Editoriale in the late 1970s. He began his association with the French publishing house Dargaud in the early 1980s. He started out with a comic about 'Robinson Crusoe' and then teamed up with writer Claude Moliterni in 1985. Together they produced the adventures of 'Rouletabille', a character later renamed to 'Marc Jourdan', that appeared in the magazines Pilote and Charlie Mensuel and was published in albums by Dargaud. Sicomoro also produced the one-shot 'Rio Grande' (1989) and short stories for both Dargaud and Albin Michel. In 1992, he worked with Moliterni again on 'Sida Connection', a story about AIDS, published by Bagheera.
