Born in Rouen, Éric Henninot studied to become an engineer in Marseille. Between 1997 and 1999 he worked for scientific companies like Cemagref and SITA, but his passion for drawing eventually led him to a career in comics. After several works that remained unpublished, such as the project 'Trauma' for Pointe Noire, he began the series about vampire hunter 'Alister Kayne', together with writer Stéphane Betbeder at the publishing house Albin Michel in 2004.
