Dick Heins is mainly active as an illustrator for game and holiday books. He began his career contributing to small press magazines Striptuur and Incognito in the 1980s and 1990s. He created several comic characters, such as 'Baldo', 'Babeteam' and 'Mooie Keetje' (in Het Kanton). Together with writer Rikky Schreever, he published an album about the bear 'Baldo' at Big Balloon in 2006. More recently, he became the assistant of Jeff Broeckx on 'Klein Suske en Wiske'.
