Ludovic Dubois (Grun) drew his early inspiration from fantasy and science fiction literature and American superhero comics. But it was the work of Moebius that drove him to a career in art. He enrolled in the Bordeaux Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. After graduation in 1994, he became art director for two children's magazines about nature. For these magazines, he also made his first comic stories.
Grun then worked with the video game company Kalisto Entertainment and with an advertising agency. He joined the comics atalier Bulles 63 in Clermont-Ferrand. He teamed up with writers Eric Corbeyran and Nicolas Hamm and created the historical adventure series 'La Conjuration d'Opale' for Dargaud from 2005 to 2010. In 2010 Grun and Corbeyran made a comics adaptation of the martial arts theatre show 'Le Souffle du Vent'. In that same year, they launched their new series, 'Metronom' in the collection Glénat Grafica.
