Aaron Lopresti was born in Portland, Oregon, and attended the USC film school in Los Angeles. Back home in Portland he found a job as a commercial artist with the Art Farm Studios. He got his first break in comics in 1993 when he was hired by Malibu Comics to draw 'Sludge' for their Ultraverse line. From then on, Lopresti has done art on comic books for DC, Marvel and Dark Horse, starring characters like 'Spiderman', 'The X-men', 'The Hulk', 'The Avengers', 'Batman', 'Plastic Man', 'Green Lantern', 'Superboy', 'Xena', 'Star Trek', 'Gen 13' and 'Mystic'. He also self-published comics like 'Atomic Toybox' and 'CHIX'. In 1995 he founded the successful comic art studio Studiosaurus, that lasted until 1998.
