Zenobia defends Palmyra

This is the original hand signed pencil and wash drawing which was published in the magazine Britannia and Eve in 1928. The detailed drawing depicts the historical scene from 240BC when Queen Zenobia defended the city of Palmyra against the Romans.

This drawing is featured in the book The Art of Fortunino Matania: catalogue of original art & prints as Fig 11.
