Description

"Zag" original watercolor, gouache painting on board. created in 1987 20" x 30" by pinup and comic cover artist Olivia De Berardinis and published several times, most importantly Olivia's first major book "Let Them Eat Cheesecake" on page 72 and Trading card art.

Olivia also completely designed the frame. Model is Michelle. Still one of Olivia's favorite pieces she said and wouldn't mind having it back on her wall! I acquired it in MINT condition.

Olivia says in "Let Them Eat Cheesecake" : "Michelle is a powerful, tall woman, and one of the first models I photographed in New York. After messing up the shoot, I threw the camera to my husband permanently. There is something about peeping through a small camera hole at a nude woman that gave me trouble. Joel doesn't have that problem."

No print was made of "Zag." Permanent collection.
