About Fabrice Erre

Fabrice Erre is a teacher in history and geography, and an author of comics. He has a PhD in history, and is the author of a thesis about the satirical press of the nineteenth century, and of an essay about political cartoons. He makes humorous stories, that focus on parody and human behaviour, from small individual weaknessess to mass manipulation. He regularly publishes in comic magazines and anthologies like Fluide Glacial, Jade, Alimentation Générale and Mauvais Esprit. He published his first comic books through 6 Pieds Sous Terre, such as 'Démonax' (2006), 'Le Roux' (2007) and 'Mécanique de l'angoisse' (2011). With Fabcaro, he made the Zorro-parody 'Z comme Don Diego' (Dargaud, 2012) and 'Mars!' (Fluide Glacial, 2014). He set free his humorous view on the world of high schools and teaching in 'Une année au lycée', a series published on the blog of Le Monde, and published in book format by Dargaud from 2014. Dargaud also published his book about a wannabe dictator, 'Guide Sublime', in 2015. Erre is also present at Vide Cocagne with the social satire 'Madumo' (2015). His brother is French writer Jean-Michel Erre. Text (c) Lambiek
