Born in Bordeaux, Alice Picard spent part of her childhood growing up in a wing of a castle in Périgord. The poetic environment has served as an inspiration throughout her career, as did fantasy literature. Picard studied animation at the prestigious Gobelins art school and began her career working for the Disney Studio on productions like 'Tarzan'. She was then employed by Kalisto as a 3D animator for computer games. Through her colleague Marc Moreno she was introduced to Corbeyran, with whom she creates the fantasy comic series 'Weëna' series for Delcourt since 2002. Picard and Corbeyran have also cooperated on the more juvenile children's series 'Okhéania' for Dargaud between 2008 and 2012.
