Comme toute les grandes œuvres intemporelles, Watchmen continue de fasciner des générations de lecteurs. La mécanique de précision mise en place par A. Moore et les différents niveaux de lecture offrent un plaisir renouvelé à chaque redécouverte. Le dessin précis et minutieux de D. Gibbons s'adapte parfaitement à la narration. Sans entraver la lecture, certaines cases fourmillent de détails. Cette planche constitue un moment clé de l'histoire, une révélation majeure.

About Dave Gibbons

David Chester "Dave" Gibbons (born 14 April 1949) is an English comic book artist, writer and sometimes letterer. He is best known for his collaborations with writer Alan Moore, which include the miniseries Watchmen and the Superman story "For the Man Who Has Everything". He was an artist for the UK anthology 2000 AD, for which he contributed a large body of work from its first issue in 1977. Gibbons was born on 14 April 1949, at Forest Gate Hospital in London, England, to Chester, a town planner, and Gladys, a secretary. He began reading comic books at the age of seven. A self-taught artist, he illustrated his own comic strips. Gibbons became a building surveyor but eventually entered the UK comics industry as a letterer for IPC Media. He left his surveyor job to focus on his comics career. Gibbons earliest published work was in British underground comics, starting with The Trials of Nasty Tales, including the main cover illustration, and continuing in cOZmic Comics produced by Fe

HAL9000 Une page absolument désirable pour qui aime cette BD. Mieux vaut lire cette dernière avant de contempler cette planche :-)
