Planche publiée dans Mad 7 par deux des fondateurs: les layouts et le scenario sont de Harvey Kurtzman et le dessin de John Severin... Mais pas tout seul. En effet, cette planche est aussi une reference aux autres comics d'horreur publiés par EC et on retrouve dans la premiere case les trois "hosts": the Vault Keeper dessiné par Johny Graig, the Crypt Keeper dessiné par Jack Davis, et the Old Witch dessinée par Graham Ingels. Bill Elder intervient lui aussi plus loin dans l'histoire avec "the Mole". On retrouve egalement Melvin of the Apes / parodie de Tarzan imaginée par Kurtzman et Severin.

About John Severin
John Powers Severin was an American comics artist noted for his distinctive work with EC Comics, primarily on the war comics Two-Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat; for Marvel Comics, especially its war and Western comics; and for his 45-year stint with the satiric magazine Cracked. He was one of the founding cartoonists of Mad in 1952.
Severin was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2003.
