About Dave Taylor

Dave Taylor was born in Liverpool and got his degree at the Liverpool Arts School. He was a drummer in a rockband for five years, before he got a job at Marvel UK in 1990. There, he worked on such titles as 'Zorro', 'Warheads', 'Motormouth' and 'Genedogs'. He broke into the US comics field in 1994, where he became best known for his work on Marvel's 'Force Works' and DC's 'Batman/Riddler - The Riddle Factory'. After the success of his 'Batman/Riddler' work, he was assigned by DC as a regular artist on 'Shadow of the Bat'. Taylor started his own series, 'Tongue*Lash', with writers Randy and Jean-Marc Lofficier. This comic, a "film noir" tale set in a fantastic Mayan universe, first appeared at Dark Horse Comics in February 1999.
