Description
This is a very rare piece. It is the first time I have seen original art by Japanese superstar manga-ka Junji Ito outside of the artist's holdings. I have seen an exhibition of his pages in Italy and have seen a few dedications he has done but never a finished piece in the wild. It is my understanding that this art was used as part of the title page for the fourth chapter of Tomie, one of his many horror masterpieces. It is not in the published English edition but perhaps showed up in earlier Japanese printings. Regardless, published or not, I am super happy to be adding this one to my collection. On the back are some notes and a gorgeous signature by Ito-san. I will get that translated in the future.
