About Chris Sprouse

Chris Sprouse is an American comics artist. Sprouse has worked for multiple publishers and has won two Eisner Awards for his work on Tom Strong, a series he created with writer Alan Moore. Chris Sprouse began his comic book career in 1989, contributing to DC's Secret Origins. He then contributed to a Batman Annual and did the 'Hammerlocke' limited series. He did several fill-ins on other titles as well as the 'Legion of Super-Heroes' spin-off 'Legionnaires'. For Dark Horse, he did art on 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye'. He then joined Awesome Comics as the penciller of 'New Man', followed by several issues of 'Supreme' in 1997. With 'Supreme' scriptwriter Alan Moore, he later created 'Tom Strong' for America's Best Comics. He pencilled the 2004 'Ocean' miniseries. In 2006, he began pencilling Wildstorm's 'Midnighter' ongoing series, a spin-off of 'The Authority.
