About Kelly Jarvis

Kelley Jarvis is a professional self-taught illustrator, animator and cartoonist. She was born in Danbury, Connecticut in 1968. Inspired by the likes of animators Chuck Jones, Hanna-Barbera, and Walt Disney's Nine Old Men, she picked up drawing funny animals and fantasy creatures at an early age. Two issues of her comics creation 'Samurai Squirrel' were published by Spotlight Comics in 1986. She began writing and drawing the syndicated 'Tom & Jerry' newspaper strip for Editors Press Service when she was only 18 years old, and continued it for seven years. She has also worked as a penciller on Paul Terry's 'Mighty Mouse' for Spotlight Comics (1987) and on 'Animaniacs' for DC Comics (1995) Since the 1990s, she has been working as director and senior illustrator for her company, called Jarvis Arts!. Jarvis Arts! has been a provider of licensing illustration and graphic design for long standing clients like Warner Brothers, Dreamworks SKG, Turner Entertainment, Hasbro, Cartoon Network, and many others. She is sometimes credited as "Kelly Jarvis".
