The Phantom in Purple

This sketch is by the master Sy Barry, one of the great artists of The Phantom by Lee Falk. Along with Ray Moore and Wilson McCoy, they were the ones who shaped the walking Ghost. What's unique is that the color purple was originally chosen by Lee Falk, as his costume was dyed with berries from the Bengali Jungle. Finally, I want to thank the master Sy Barry for the gift he made to me for The Phantom's 80th anniversary, and my dear friend and the greatest Phantom collector and personal friend of Lee Falk, Mr. "Pistol" Pete Klaus.
