Peinture à l'huile sur bois de Christian Rossi qui représente une "Last Stand" sans nul doute d'une patrouille de US Cavalry au prise avec un raid d'un parti apache ou comanche aux abords du Rio Grande au vue du décor qui ne peut empêcher à nouveau de faire penser aux oeuvres de Frederic Remington dont les toiles ont inspiré les cinéastes dont John Ford qui avoua avoir tenté, en réalisant La Charge héroïque, de reproduire « sa couleur et son mouvement ».
