One of several two-sided sketchcards created for Gosh Comics in London. The free-hand ink sketch features a 1950’s businessman offered a cocktail while experiencing a LSD trip. The drawing is a portrait profile of a man, A bewelled femaile hand hands him a cocktail. He has a surprised expression and we see why. His is reversing out the back of his head. His body has dissolved, his skull is emerging and his cranium has broken apart and his brain is speeding away from the back of his head, all this is observed by a tiny man in a lab coat. When The Complete MKUltra was published I sent sketchcards to Gosh that could be added free with some copies of my books. I had a 3D anaglyph panel printed on one side and would sketch something relative to MKUltra project on the back. I believe travelling businessmen were targeted by CIA agents in San Francisco as guinea pigs. They would be slipped LSD and monitored, often filmed through two-way mirrors. MKUltra was an illegal top-secret cold war project to weopenise LSD and other drugs for various espionage purposes.
