Un bel exemple de la maîtrise de Caniff en matière d'éclairage de ses scènes et personnages via ses aplats (noir ou lavis bleu)pour ses zones d'ombrages (lavis bleu en l'occurrence)qui étaient destinées à l'origine à indiquer à l'usine de gravure là où appliquer des tons gris.

About Milton Caniff
Milton Arthur Paul Caniff is an American comic strip artist best known for his comic strips Terry and the Pirates and Steve Canyon. He is considered a master of black and white. He was the fourth author to be added to the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1988.
