Small Tengu is a masterpiece by Tomio Sagisu (1921-2004) a.k.a. Soji Ushio, published by Akita Shoten from 1953 to 1959
Serialized in Manga King. Reprinted in 1986 (four volumes) by Kokusho Kankokai

Tomio Sagisu made his debut as a Mangaka in "Detective 815" (1947)
One year later he became an exclusive member of "May Bookstore" and produced a series of Akahon manga.
Besides working on manga he also founded P Productions, a Japanese production company (1960). Their most famous creations are Osamu Tezuka's Ambassador Magma and the 3 series that make up the Lion-Maru franchise
Most of P Productions film and television projects, like Ambassador Magma for example, features animation sequences created with matte paintings by Yoshio Watanabe and Tomio Sagisu himself

Original artwork by Tomio Sagisu is extremely rare ! Only 5 pages of Small Tengu have surfaced
