About David Evrard

E411, whose real name is David Evrard, was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1971. He made his first professional drawings for the Belgian Office de la Naissance et de l'Enfance, before creating the comic strip 'Robbe en Bas' ('Max et Bouzouki') in the Averbode magazine Zonnekind with scriptwriter Falzar. The characters got their own magazine in 2004. Since 1995, E411 has made several comics for communication purposes with scriptwriters Fauche and Adam. Among their customers were Accor, Hewlett Packard and Laroche-Posay. He was part of the 1990s generation of Spirou magazine, together with contributors like Olis, Clarke and Deth. Since 1994, E411 was one of the main illustrators of editorial pages, like the hilarious 'Couvertures que vous ne deviez pas voir', a section with covers of famous Spirou characters that "you weren't allowed to see". His 'Porc Épique' appeared in the section La Balise à Cartoons and he also delivered various short stories during the nineties, starring characters like 'Maître Corbaque', 'Hervé TT' and 'Jérôme et les Gnomes'. His series 'Edwin et les twins', created with Falzar, was published by Vents d'Ouest in 2009 and 2010. He worked with his Spirou-colleague Zidrou again on the children's series 'Schumi', published by Paquet since 2011. Text (c) Lambiek
